Salon 241 is a hair, nail, and makeup beauty salon located in the Comfort C. Farrington House at 241 State Street at the corner of Newberry Street in Bangor. This building was built in 1840 and has been described as the last great brick house built in Bangor. It was home to Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Sewall Smith—a Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. The building has been preserved by the Adams Family since 2003.The magnificent Italianate design and architecture found in each room is sure to make your visit unique and reminiscent of a time where Victorian women looked forward to their beauty salon visit to chat and share secrets!
